Not in any real sense. There was no system, no identity, no reason for anyone to show up consistently. What you see today — the brand, the structure, the culture — was built from scratch, one problem at a time. Here's how it happened.

Chaos in a group chat
What started as a fun Sunday game with college friends was slowly collapsing under the weight of poor organisation. No accountability. No structure. No identity.
18 spots, zero accountability for backing out. No rules, no clarity on who's in and who's out.
Players not paying, with zero repercussions or tracking.
Last-minute external player hunts through a third-party app — unreliable and inconsistent.
No name, no logo, no colours. Just a nameless group of people and a WhatsApp chat.
Every intervention was rooted in a clear insight — applied like a UX problem. Diagnose. Hypothesise. Implement. Iterate.
Community Architecture
Moved from a single chaotic group to a structured 6-group WhatsApp Community — each channel serving a specific player type. Sunday players, practice regulars, tourney squad, and everyone in between. The right message reaches the right people, every time.

Redesigned Player List
Embedded rules, backout deadline, repercussions, a waiting list, and a tentative list directly into the weekly message. Information architecture at its most practical. Defined clear cutoff times with consequences for no-shows. Overnight, dropouts reduced dramatically.

Club Fund & Payment Tracking
The management team created a shared club fund to cover tournament fees and emergency costs. Advance payment system was introduced for new and/or unknown players to confirm a playing slot. Payment accountability went from ambiguity to a structured system.

Finding our identity
Next stop, was to build a presence that the members and players could actually see. We wanted an identity that the players would feel proud wearing and opponents would envy. From a generic idea to a now well-recognised crest, here’s how we evolved.

The First Crest
2023
The members sought a simple design which captures the spirit of the team. Football turned strangers to friends, so it took the centre stage in the crest. Though functional, it looked generic.

The Lion Crest
2024
As our pride started growing, the need for a stronger identity grew too. The crowned lion, split black-and-yellow, angular shield was as bold & fearless as the team. Unmistakably Invincibles FC.
Wear the pride
Two generations of kits — both sourced, briefed, and finalised by me. The new kits carry the updated crest and a bolder aesthetic that matches the club's evolved identity.

Built to be felt
From festival logos to dedicated group icons, Instagram reels to story interactions — every touchpoint was designed to make players feel like they were part of something bigger than a Sunday kickabout. The result? A delightful experience and a community that actually shows up, online and offline.

The Big Hype
To build culture and keep players invested, I created custom FIFA style player cards for the squad — complete with real stats, positions, and player photos.
Posted to Instagram, the engagement was immediate. Everyone wanted their card.
